Come along and learn some easy and fun techniques for felting and hand-stitching. Participants will learn to construct small sculptural components from wool and fabric. These pieces can then be assembled into various configurations to form pendants, bangles, neckpieces, and rings.
No felting experience necessary.
Katrina Virgona is passionate about textiles. She teaches art and fashion theory at Curtin University. In her studio practice, she creates 3D artworks and contemporary textile jewellery pieces drawing on a diverse range of materials including wool, wire, wood, metal, fur and human hair. She has exhibited widely and has had artwork featured in national and international publications.
