Andrea completed an Advanced Diploma of Art and Craft in ceramics at Central Institute of Technology in 2002. She has exhibited her work in Perth and internationally since 2001, including invitational exhibition and workshops in Gangjin, S. Korea, national ceramic conferences in Bendigo, Brisbane & Sydney, and Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe and Bondi. Andrea’s work is inspired by microscopic images of pollens, planktons, molecules and natural structures. It plays with the idea that natural objects of different origins and on different scale share the similarities and visual language we intuitively recognize and respond to. Her ceramic work ranges from very delicate and intimate works, to large outdoor sculptures.
